A GREAT NIGHT OUT in June every year.
Meet us at nightfall (10:30 pm) on Friday 6, Saturday 7, Friday 13 and Saturday 14 June, in the gardens of the Couvent des Cordelières - route de Nanteuil (behind the stadium), in Provins.
Designed, produced and directed by the team of the Provins ‘Maison des Jeunes et de la Culture’ since 1982, the show is staged by 300 volunteers from Provins and its area.
For 90 minutes, return to the Middle Ages, through 19 scenes depicting the finest and darkest hours of the villagers, farmers, citizens, clergymen, and Lords of Provins back in the XIIIth century.
This is made possible by 250 volunteer actors moving in the scenic area. Over 1,200 costumes were made by the local volunteer dressmakers. The technical team generate the sound track, and install all light and sound equipment. The very same team controls all the light and sound consoles in the technical booth, located behind the audience. It also controls the pyrotechnic effects enhancing the show.
